By recording the information here, you will save time by not having to dig around for information at the last minute. In addition to basic information about where you live, where you attend high school, and what your grades are, colleges will also ask your parents more about their backgrounds – Did they attend college? What level did they achieve? What is their racial identity? Answers to these questions help colleges better understand the students they are serving and sometimes even lead to scholarship opportunities.
